Out of sight, out of mind

The number of displaced persons around the world has consistently risen sharply in the last 10 years. The number is doubling every seven or eight years and this upward trend shows no signs of decreasing. Currently, around 37 million are uprooted people in the world, forced to leave their homes and seek shelter elsewhere, usually because of war, economic or natural disasters.
